<description>My name is Mike “Moe” O’Donovan and I am the current president of the Tali-banned Cigar Aficionado Club, located in Kabul, Afghanistan. Our membership is open to US and Coalition military, US and other government agencies and Contractors.

Our “Not for Profit” club follows Robert’s Rules of Order and we feature a single cigar at each meeting. The shape, wrapper, filler and maker are discussed along with the source (we gratefully accept donations as well as purchase cigars for this purpose).

In addition, we conduct a raffle ($1 per ticket) for donated cigars, humidors, cigar-related clothing and cigar accessories to raise money for the club.

Further, we intend to send cigars to military and civilian personnel stationed at remote bases in Afghanistan so they can enjoy them too.

Because the main focus of the club is to enjoy good cigars in the company of good people, we try and feature different brands and styles. This is especially important because the availability of cigars to purchase locally is extremely limited and we feel it is important for our members to enjoy and experience cigars they may not consider on their own.

While the club is in its infancy and our current membership is at 48, we anticipate the growth and popularity to rival our sister organizations in Iraq. This will happen soon as we are planning to expand our meeting locations to the US Embassy to afford more cigar enthusiasts the opportunity to participate.

If you are able to donate cigars (and/or humidors, cigar-related clothing and cigar accessories) we would like to recognize your generosity as a contributor on our website when we get it developed and if you approve, include a link to you.

Donations can be mailed to:
Mike O’Donovan
PAE-Café
APO AE 09356

Thank you for your consideration.

Respectfully,
Mike “Moe” O’Donovan
President, Tali-banned Cigar Aficionado Club
